Galson Sciences Ltd (Ltd) is delighted to announce that it has again been awarded a contract on the NDA’s Direct Research Portfolio (DRP) integrated waste management and site decommissioning and remediation (IWM&SDR) framework. The new contract will run for four years and is intended to support the full scope of R&D (link to NDA 5-year R&D plan: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/nda-5-year-research-and-development-plan-2019-to-2024/nda-5-year-rd-plan-2019-to-2024) to develop and implement the IWM and SDR strategies as outlined in the NDA Strategy. This includes topics such as: waste characterisation, alternative waste treatments, transport, storage, improved decommissioning, site end states, and land quality. We have assembled a multidisciplinary team of specialist contractors with cross-sector experience. Our team includes the National Nuclear Laboratory, Frazer-Nash Consulting Ltd, Amphos 21, Lucideon, Mott MacDonald Ltd, Resolve Robotics Ltd, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, Orano, Veolia and the Universities of Bristol, Lancaster and Sheffield. We look forward to collaborating with our partners, the NDA, and its stakeholders in this framework.
